The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRV The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mervin “Merv” Rumpel, founder of Pleasure-Way Industries and a true pioneer in Canada's RV industry. Since founding Pleasure-Way in 1986, Merv's vision, dedication, and commitment to quality helped build one of Canada's most respected motorhome manufacturers. Merv leaves behind a wonderful family legacy which continues today through his son Dean and granddaughters Skylar and Katia. On behalf of all of us at CRVA, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Rumpel family, everyone at Pleasure-Way Industries, and all those who had the privilege of knowing Merv.
The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRV The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) is very pleased to announce that Transport Canada has approved a three-year renewal of the Driveaway-Towaway Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Exemption! This renewal is critical to our industry, helping ensure the efficient transportation of recreational vehicles from manufacturers to dealerships across Canada, while maintaining our shared commitment to keeping Canada's highways safe. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Transport Canada for working closely with our industry, understanding our unique transportation challenges, and supporting a practical solution that balances operational needs with road safety.
