NHTSA releases its most recent installment of RV recalls effective September 8th, 2026

The following is the latest list of RV and RV-related recalls compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Per strict NHTSA protocols, manufacturers will next notify its dealer partners of the recall notice. Each notice will include details of the affected vehicles as well as the appropriate remedy.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling eight 2027 Heartland Bighorn recreational trailers. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the certification label may be incorrect. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 567, “Certification.” Jayco will mail replacement labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 1, 2026. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco’s number for this recall is 9901666.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling 149 2026-2027 Entegra Accolade, Accolade XL, Jayco Seneca, and Seneca Prestige recreational vehicles. The tire size may be incorrect on the vehicle certification label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, “Wheels and Rims-Other than Passenger Cars.” Jayco will mail replacement labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 30, 2026. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco’s number for this recall is 9903664.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling 11 2027 Entegra Qwest and Jayco Melbourne Prestige recreational vehicles. The taillight harness may have been manufactured with an incorrect resistor. The defective harness may cause the warning light to illuminate on the instrument panel display when the taillights are functioning correctly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, “Control and Displays.” Dealers will replace the taillight harness, free of charge. Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling 88 2026-2027 Wayfarer recreational vehicles. The liquid propane (LP) tank may have been manufactured without the remote shut off and may be loose in the mounting bracket. Dealers will install a remote shut off and replace the bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by October 30, 2026. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin’s number for this recall is WAY-108.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling five 2027 Vibe recreational trailers. The furnace exhaust may not be correctly attached to the outside flue, allowing carbon monoxide to buildup inside the passenger cabin. Dealers will reposition the furnace, free of charge. Dealers were notified on September 1, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-327-2716.
